James McManus

Jim graduated from Glasgow University in 1994 and went on to work in practice for a year in Montrose. A year later Jim joined the holytown practice as an associate and became a partner in 2003.

Jim enjoys most aspects of general dental practice but has a particular interest in training new dentists and managing anxious patients.

Lee-Anne Scott qualified with Commendation from Glasgow university in 1999. From here Lee-Anne worked as a house officer at Glasgow Dental Hospital developing skills in the prosthetic and Oral surgery departments.Lee-Anne completed her training year in Northampton gaining valuable experience in general dental practice. From here she joined the then called Holytown dental practice in 2001 and became a partner in 2003. Leeanne became a certified trainer for newly qualified dentists in 2006, and with James has enjoyed training many of the present associates.

Lee-Anne enjoys all fields of general practice and holds a keen interest in oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and treatment of anxious patients.





Iain Edwards

Iain Edwards (BDS Glasg 2009)

After graduating from the Univesity of Glasgow in 2009, Iain completed his training year at McManus and Scott Dental Surgeries and went on to become an associate at our Holytown practice in 2010. During Iain's training year he was awarded first prize in a competition amongst his colleagues for presenting the best presentation case reflecting his competence in treatment planning and clinical abilities. He has also spent a month as a volunteer dentist in Tanzania.

Iain is particularly interested in cosmetic procedures and hopes to further his training in this field in years to come.





Lisa-Marie Brown

Lisa-Marie Brown (BDS Dund 2006)

After graduating from the University of Dundee in 2006 Lisa-Marie worked within the Community Dental Service and as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Southern General Hospital. This has afforded her the skills and knowledge to enhance her ability to treat a variety of patients.

Having also completed her MFDS Qualification in 2008, Lisa-Marie then reached a personal ambition of travelling around South East Asia for a year and on her return to Scotland she joined McManus & Scott Dental Surgerues as an associate where she enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.

Lisa-Marie enjoys participating in a variety of sports and is learning to speak Italian.





Gerard Skeffington

Gerard Skeffington qualified from Dundee University in 2004. Following graduation he completed his training year at McManus and Scott Dental Surgeries in Holytown.After his training year, Gerard further developed his skills at Manchester and Nine Wells hospital as a senior house officer. Gerard has been studying implant training since graduation and has completed several courses.

Gerard works at our Newarthill practice and has special interests in implants and smile design based aesthetic dental procedures.

Having graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011, Vikas is the newest member of the Holytown dental team and is keen to demonstrate his empathetic and friendly nature. Having gained valuable clinical experience in all aspects of general dentistry from the Glasgow Dental Hospital, Vikas’s professionalism and commitment enables him to deliver an overall high standard of dental care.

Vikas has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and likes to keep up to date with new developments in the profession. Outwith of dentistry Vikas enjoys travelling abroad and playing badminton.

Margaret graduated for Glasgow University in 2003. She spent a year working in our Holytown practice before becomeing a full time associate in Newarthill. Margaret enjoys most aspects of general dentistryy.

Outwith work Margaret enjoys travelling, keeping fit and playing squash.

Raj graduated from Glasgow University in 2008 with Honors. After qualifying she has spent time both within the Community Dental Service and as a Senior House Officer in the Southern General Hospital. Raj works part time at our surgery and also works in Forth Valley treating anxious patients using Inhalation Sedation and patients with special needs and medically compromised patients.

Raj enjoys treating anxious patients and children.

Michelle Meehan

Michelle Meehan

Michelle's started her career as a Qualified Dental Nurse in 1994 and joined McManus and Scott Dental Practice in 2000. As a Senior Dental Nurse she assisted with implementing changes required for the practice to become a training practice for newly qualified dentists and also assisting setting up the Newarthill practice in 2003. She progressed to take on the role of Practice Manager in 2004 and overseas the daily running of the practice and helped with the recent refurbishments and extensions to both practices.

Michelle has recently completed an HND in Practice Management and is looking forwards to starting the new challenge of a degree in Management and Accounts.
